*Nepotism makes for great human interest stories for the TV folks, and then it bites you. Happening in Manhattan and Norman right now.
*What part of our bad tackling is just the physics of small people taking down large ones and what part is really bad form that can be coached out?
*In a rush to get Bookie on the field have we put him in a place that doesn't suit his talents? I always viewed his skill set as guy who had quick hips and plus ball skills. Don't see him getting those opportunities.
*Our front 4 cannot get to the QB independent of a blitzing LB.
*I don't fault the effort of the defensive players. I think they care and I think their poor performance is eating them up. I fear if they don't start seeing results, they'll stop listening to their coaches. You can only get really angry so many times before apathy sets in.
*Keep waiting for Haughton to make a play, any play.
*I'd love to know where the break down in Mike's approach is. I acknowledge the guy has forgotten more football than the rest of us will ever know. I think he has the knowledge to put a quality product in the field but is failing to do so for some reason. Is he putting too much information on their plate? Are they working too much on scheme and not enough on skill? Is he not communicating with them well? Are they thinking too much and playing too slow?
*I think the next two weeks will be a huge test of Lincoln's administrative acumen. This is truly and awkward spot made worse due to nepotism.
*It appears this defense has indeed not been crafted to stop any specific style of offense but is uniquely permissive all styles of offense.
*Wish we had borrowed Tulsa's blueprint for stopping Texas.
