Adrian Peterson to play “four more years”

https://www.nfl.com/_amp/adrian-peterson-hopes-to-play-four-more-years-in-nfl

Man as you guys know I follow AD and his yardage total closely. He’s only 1053 behind Sanders total(which I want him to pass so pokes won’t have that to claim).

The last two years he has rushed for over 1000 yards in 2018 and 900 in 2019. He’s obviously slowly tailing off, but with him planning to play four more years I would guess his average over that time to be 650-700 yards a season. If he indeed does that he would finish with around 17,000 yards which would put him at 2nd all time. He would be around 1250 yards away from Smith. Knowing AD if he could walk I could see him playing until he passes Smith if he’s that close haha.

If he does stop at 2nd I would be so proud of that guy. He easily would have passed Emmitt if not for the year lost to injury and getting into trouble the other year and being suspended. That’s two years he would at minimum of added 2200-2400 more yards.

The other thing is with the direction the NFL is going with running back by committee, I don’t think anyone will ever make it past 16,000 yards again or at least not in the next 30 years. So if he reaches 1st I could see that record being almost unbeatable.

Love AD and hope he plays until he can’t play no more. I’m truly going to miss the day I can’t check the box score to see how many more yards he added to his total.

OT: Things are getting really bad for Gundy.

Now it’s being reported that 20+ players from 1989 are prepared to make a statement that Gundy used the N word during games. Then Chuba goes on ESPN and from what orangepower.com is saying he throws Gundy and OSU under the bus. Guess there is a clause in his contract where he can be fired for cause if he brings shame on himself or the university that affects them financially. Not looking good for the mullet.

Poll: Wedding during OU-Texas

Am I an asshole if I miss the wedding?

I need some advice.. My wife's aunt is getting married on OU-Texas this year. My wife is fairly close to her aunt, and I do like her aunt and her fiancée. They're good people. But, it's the fvckin OU-Texas game, and having to miss that game for an in-laws wedding makes me want to cry.

If it was any other game outside of Bedlam, I would miss it no questions ask. I'd just DVR it and watch it later on. Nbd. But, it's fvcking OU-Texas.

I don't know what time the wedding will be, and the kickoff time is TBD.

Wedding is going to be in the Broken Bow area. I haven't said no yet to my wife, and she won't be mad if I don't attend.

But, am I a piece of shit for even entertaining not going to the wedding? I feel like I will look like a royal jackass to my in laws if I don't go.

For fvck's sake, this is why people shouldn't have fall weddings in Oklahoma lol. And of all days, OU mf'ing Texas.

OT - OSU player COVID-19 positive after protest

This has to be an unintended consequence, right? People in close quarters like that, hard to see it not happening more.

It wouldn’t be shocking to see Broiles, Morris, Haselwood, etc., test positive. But it’ll be interesting to follow, not just from an OU perspective but nationwide.

SCOOPHD: Lincoln Riley Zoom Call (Parts 1 & 2) ...

PART 1

PART 2

ORIGINAL: Just wrapped up about a 40 minute Zoom call with Lincoln Riley. A lot of really good stuff was covered and we'll have fulll coverage in the coming hours. Here are some quick hits:

* Lincoln Riley says a quarantine will take place starting in mid-June. But most players will be quarantining in their own homes.

* Riley was asked specifically about using Black Lives Matter on Twitter, considering some Oklahoma will take a stance against that. Riley: "All lives can't matter until black lives do too." Also added this is a fundamental belief in how he was raised ... wouldn't matter if it was his players or not.

* Riley was asked if he would take action prior to game (kneeling, etc) if his players asked him to ... "I don't think anything would be off the table" as far as protesting with his players as long as it's "tasteful, thought out and peaceful."

* Because of the obvious COVID reasons it's very unlikely for recruits to make any visits in the coming months. Riley says it kind of is what it is.

Skipping #24 I guess. Joe Washington would have won. My options were going to be Rodney Anderson, Brennan Clay, Steve Rhodes, and Joe Washington with an honorable mention to Marcus Walker.

Joe Mixon
All Conference (2016)

HM: Anthony Stafford, James Allen, Justin Broiles vs LSU

The Monty Johnson story is pretty interesting. Big time recruit who gave up football and came to OU as a student. Rediscovered his love for football and joined the team for two years and started 22 straight games. I believe the choice for #25 is obvious but one of the players might have a puncher's chance.

Williams, Gilliam, AND more?!

https://www.si.com/college/oklahoma...get-kelvin-gilliam-talks-weekly-with-oklahoma

Article specifically mentions Williams, Williams, Gilliam, AND Maason Smith . Smith is not a name I have heard mentioned. Thoughts @Josh_M?

Man I LOVE the way Caleb Williams is recruiting. Totally what I would have done in his position. Surprised it doesn’t happen more, or maybe I’m just not aware of it, but Williams seems to be more open about it.

OT: Cofvefaids immunity

looks like the WHO is saying they have no freaking clue if you develop immunity once you have had it. So much for testing being the answer to getting back to work. Just stay home and wait on everything to be safe outside indefinitely everyone. It will be ok, you must stay safe.
