Football Ten Thgts...UofH

Oh snap...
Talk about a game. Idk where to begin or how I even feel. I enjoyed Norman and the game atmosphere was awesome. My lil cuzn loved the game and I believe he's going to be a pretty good player in a few years, so that was good (DJ Martin rb/slot Lewisville High School c/o 27).
But as it relates to the game...sheesh...
And if you know me, I don't hold punches.

There had to have been the slightest hint that J.A would require possibly 1/2 season or more

to get comfortable. Even before the bowl game. That is what keeps playing in my head, I was was with coach and probably most everybody thinking J.A would used the spring and Summer to get the kinks worked out. Possibly it was the 1's in his face that has hime seeing ghost.. I read that this past weekend by a respected poster. Now all you hear from all the yourtube channels.. (And no I don't live or die on what they say about OU football) But everyone is telling me to be patient and this will take some time..You get the Baker example like his first year.. and how J.A needs the same time.. Well Baker had the Akron Zips... a pretty good Tennessee where the entire team stepped up..We lost to a lousy Texas team that went 5-7 and a bad 6-7 KSU, Tech went 6-7 and KU went goose egg 0-12. ISU also was terrible 3-9 and thank God we had Baylor, TCU and OSU at the end of the season... Baker including Texas had a pretty soft schedule to grow into. J.A don't have that same junior league as the SEC where 7 of the top AP 10 are from the SEC.

I was with the decision to let D.G go get some $$$ and we would be fine with J.A....

Now I am wondering if there was signs that we should have kept D.G and let J.A have one more year and let D.G go kill Texas again and get his heisman and have a huge legacy for beation Texas back to back.. I looked at Dillions stats and damn 85% 59 of 70 623 yards... Apparently he is still not getting the explosive play,s or his has little to work with.. I don't know.. All I know is if this is another nail biter (which I am leaning towards).. We are going to get hammered the next 3 weeks,

UH's defense tough task for ailing OL

The lack of heath and subpar play of our OL needed a cream puff defense to help it mend and boost self confidence. After watching the game and a little research, the cougs don't appear to be what we dialed up. Yes, they were coming off an upset win to suspected doormat UNLV.

After what took place Saturday, I decided to look at the box score for UH vs UNLV. The rebels had 308 yds total offense. I checked to see how UNLV did this week. They won 72-14 and amassed 695 yds. Granted it was to Utah Tech.

I think we saw the worst case scenario of a beat up OL playing a good defense. Let's hope the OU medical staff is working round the clock to get the hogs healthy.

OUI 2024 Survivor Pool - Week 2

And we're off! 213 members of the OUI community tossed their proverbial hats in the ring for this year's Survivor Pool. Even in a week where the vast majority of the favorites held serve, there were nonetheless casualties. 38 out of 134 FBS schools have already tasted defeat (tonight's BC/FSU matchup is technically Week 1, so maybe we'll get a 39th), taking our list of eligible teams down below the century mark. In total, we've already got 8 erstwhile survivors in our little competition.

A fond farewell, and better luck next year, to:

Buttled by Butler (ineligible, not FBS) (1) - @RJHouston
Hammered by Hawai'i (4) - @ahS0oner , @marknpat85 , @SevenTimeChamps , @SoonerRecruits
Cut Down by the Coogs (1) - @Connordavis4311
Busted by the Bayou Bengals (1) - @Boomer_Sooner_84
Hopes Dashed by Hokies (1) - @Army_Redleg

For the other 205 of you, the game continues. Post your Week 2 selections in the thread below (please do not post in or otherwise resuscitate the Week 1 thread).

Stop Drinking Crimson Kool-Aid! FACTS!

This team is average at best! Probably #2 in the state of Oklahoma. And that is considering I have not seen Central Oklahoma play yet, We may be #3.

BV is NOT the answer! All you BV drooling morons that loved the hire need to finally admit, this was a reach for a guy that only coached defense for 30 years. There is a reason!

Seth L. Is dog shit! Hell, give me Lebby please! If this is an improvement....I dont see it.

Please play Michael Hawkins! Arnold, is the next Ryan Leaf.
