Parker & Brandon...You are Finally Not Backing Walker...

Took you 5 weeks but this cat doesnt belong on the field. He has been torched in consecutive weeks on deep balls. yes, he does a good job when the routes are in front of him but his lack of speed and technique is horrible on deeper routes. he is a freaking liability. You finally have seen the light. Glad you called it out on the PC.

This is where BV needs to say...Eli & Boganowski need reps. We know Walker's ceiling...it aint very high. Get the 2 freshman meaningful reps. I know one or both have greater upsaide.

The Arnold Bandwagon is Empty and Hawkins' Is Full...

We may have the biggest joke of a fan base in Power 5. For the past 4 weeks, this Board was praising Arnold, top recruit, 5 star, elite 11, blah blah blah.
I kept telling you he mentally cant process, you all said he will develop. Well he developed into the turd I said he was right in front of everyone's eyes on national tv.

Now, Hawkins is Jesus Christ in a Crimson uniform according to this Board. I have said since summer he needs a shot because he can read defenses and that is what Seth wants his QBs to do. Not this stupid RPO shit every play. Seth gets to actually run his stuff, not what Arnold can only do.

Let's not put too much pressure on the true freshman. He will make mistakes, let's just support him and give him and Seth every opportunity to succeed.

Good news is we will see 8 games of Hawkins at QB. Arnold is Red Shirting and will portal. At the end of the season, the staff and this fan base will know if we have the guy. If we dont, look for a portal pick up until O'Neill gets here in 2026....assuming he stays committed.

Jaden O’Neal

I will preface this by saying I assume it’s nothing. However, I noticed today that Jaden O’Neal no longer has his commitment post pinned on X. He also no longer has “OU commit” in his bio. That being said, he still has all of that on IG. So, I assume it’s nothing because he seems locked in, but it's something to watch, I guess. The joys of recruiting.

Injuries on Venables?

Curious to hear the board's thoughts on if Venables is too "old school" and the crazy string of injuries is due to him pushing them back to the field too fast. I've just heard him say a couple things in press conferences that seem to be critical of the training staff or their protocols that has me thinking about it as a possibility. I know some years you just get snake bit. And I'd guess there's a fine line between getting your players real physical experience on the field or training them to be tough mentally, and trying to make sure they're healthy. You want to get players "ready for the SEC" but a lot of the players that have the size and skill to compete on that level are out and continue to be. I'm not saying he is pushing them too much, but I am curious.

Heading into the Bye Week how're you feeling? Concerns?

The Sooners somehow managed to pull it out at Jordan Hare when all hope seemed lost, Sooner Magic showed up again. Here are some things I noticed and would like to talk about.

First off Mike Hawkins Played a pretty clean game, didn't turn the ball over but also wasn't too conservative. Although he was leaving the pocket early quite often. Would love to see him hang in there a little longer and make a throw. But overall not bad.

Seth Littrell, Man where do I even start. It just baffles me that on passing downs we have two tight ends and only 2 receivers on the field. Something is going to have to change schematic wise or it's going to continue to be a long year for this offense. I'm also confused as to why Gavin Sawchuk didn't get more carries yesterday? He broke one and looked great on that run. Also barely getting Pettaway involved in the gameplan just baffles me, Not to mention we continued to throw the ball at the line of scrimmage when Auburn was pressing and playing up most of the game. It took till the end of the 4th Quarter to throw the ball deep. And when we did good things happened. On the OL I'm still confused as to why Troy Everett isn't playing, Jake Sexton is awful at guard. I'm sorry I know some of you are high on the kid but he generates no push in the run game. Either play him at Tackle or don't play him at all. TE's are a growing concern still, Jake Roberts literally cost the Offense 75+ yards of offense. Sharp actually looked physical when he had the ball in his hands.

Defense, Man Woodi Washington is just a liability out there on defense. The dude can't succeed at Corner, Nickel, or Cheetah. Not sure where he plays in this defense. Our corners didn't look great a lot of bad technique and not turning around. Kani Walker needs to be playing zone he just simply can't cover man to man. Eli Bowen on the other hand looked great again man, no complaints with the young pup. Peyton got beat deep on a ball other than that didn't see much of him on defense. Stuts had a subpar performance this game, He missed too many tackles and ran in the wrong gap all day long. DL was good in the pass rush at the end of the game, they were very quiet for the first 3 quarters and weren't great in run D. That may be due to the game last week but that's something they're going to have to get used to. Kip Lewis saved the game, just an incredible play dude was falling back on his feet and made an amazing play, best play of his young career so far. PJ Adebawore got some run late in the game, confused as to why he doesn't get in earlier in the game but it is what it is I guess.

Special teams, Man Give it up to Luke Elzinga. Dude has been amazing all year and showed it again. Has he been our best punter since Tress Way? That's very debatable. Zach Schmit has redeemed himself in the eyes of sooner nation. Made two FG that we absolutely needed.

At the end of the day we won and that's all that matters, hopefully they use this bye week to polish things up on offense. And get some well needed rest.

Kip Lewis appreciation thread

Obviously the pick 6 was incredible, but if you pay attention to him during the entire game and listen to what coaches say about him it's much more than that play. That guy is like the energizer bunny out there! Always going a million miles per hour, brings the juice and pumping up the team on the sidelines constantly. This guy will be a big leader and backbone for us in years to come.

OU Total Offense: #108. Littrell is a disaster

To date the Sooners have run the "gauntlet" of Temple, Houston and Tulane and produced the #108 team in total O: www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/21/p3

All Tennessee is going to show us is what we already know: how completely worthless Seth Littrell is at OC

He's managed to engineer 3 points in the 3rd quarter through three games. 3 measly points. That means all 3 DCs, that you've never heard of and have comparable crap talent, have been outcoaching him in their half time adjustments. Yes we've been injured, but a good OC manages to play to the strengths of the hand he has been dealt. What I see from Littrell are the same calls, especially in the running game (watch Ikard's breakdowns of the lame running play that is our bread and butter if you need to be enlightened) with zero creativity. And if we don't have time for the deep ball then mix in some max protect, etc.

Here's a typical Littrell special: 2nd series after the half we run speed back frosh Tatum up the gut twice as if he's Bo Jackson, and then on 3rd and long Littrell continues to refuse to acknowledge of the floundering OL - does not move the pocket around, roll out Arnold, throw a screen or have a relief valve - and Arnold gets sacked.

If Littrell has been sandbagging the offense before SEC play that's pretty inexcusable because we've been in dogfights in 2 out of the 3 .

BTW: The year we fired Heupel (the 2014 season) ) here were the results of those first 3 games:
La Tech W 48–16
Tulsa W 52–7
Tenn: W 34-10
