Any former O line in here?

If so, what are you seeing as issues? Is it communication, busted assignments or just not good enough?
Is the talent level that bad? Confidence? I know they hear the bad and read the comments so they are not totally oblivious.
I don't think so. I believe injuries have doomed the oline, which brings up recruiting and development. Is BB being lazy or complacent, I don't think so from what I have heard. Just curious to see others opinions that have played the position or have truly paid attention.
Should have never gotten to this point but it has, how do you right the ship this season? Can you?

Kaleb Hicks, Demarco needs to go

Parker, Brandon
What is going on with Hicks ? All reports was he was 1b coming out of fall and he never plays. Y’all hinted at a yelling match with Demarco. If that is the case I think Demarco just needs to go cuz that would be 2 years that blatantly a running back who would help the team and be the best running back or 1b at least doesn’t get play bcuz Demarco gets called out by the player for having a trash rotation. Demarco needs to go, he mishandles his position group every year.

Calling all armchair QBs

Give me your "ideal" OC and why.
what scheme you going to run and why.

I'll start:

Ideal OC- anyone who is smart and can adapt, make corrections on fly. Gets them in best position to succeed, builds morale and believes in you. When they know you care, then they'll care what you know.
I would look at the personnel I have today and see what fits them best. What are they capable of?
I would want to run a pro style scheme so they are better prepared for the next level, not some gimmick offense tbh.
Something with some air raid principles, triangle reads, get guys in space and let them run. Ace, Rip, Early, Larry, etc
Live in 11, 12 personnel with some PA stuff. Wide zone with boot action. Be multiple. LaFleur type stuff
Rep, rep, rep quality , not quantity

When we played Tarleton St they were #1 at the time. We were a spread team and coach said, we were changing schemes for the week so they could get in and get out. Basically saying we were going to get butts kicked. We went to a power scheme with PA and milked clock. Was ahead all game and lost on a long hail mary. What did we do next week, went back to spread and lost all games. Make it make sense.

This Oline sucks but…

Like WR, injuries have absolutely destroyed this unit. At start of camp the presumed starting 5 were:

LT - Sexton: Injured and constantly moved
LG - Hatchett: Injured
C - Hickman: Injured
RG - Nwaiwu: healthy
RT - Taylor: Injured

Think about if these 5 would have been healthy through camp and into the season. Would they be great? No, but probably at least serviceable. Tarquin is a depth swing tackle. Ozeata only plays if someone gets injured. Sexton doesn’t have to switch positions every week. Everett can come in and provide depth at center and guard. I think this gets missed quite a bit when we’ve talked about how bad the Oline has been when we say the unit is now “healthy”

Watching random tuesday night football..

How are we so bad on offense. How is it possible?
Im watching Texas State play UL and La Tech vs Sam Houston. Those kids would die for a chance to play at OU and maybe 2 per team "could" but I dont know if we'd beat either of the better teams in a game saturday.

I dont know if we could beat Tulane again Saturday. I'm ready for a culture shift. I'm gonna cheer (and critique) the remainder of the season, but im ready for something new on offense. JJF has my support this season but I have very little faith any of our offensive coaches can get our guys up to play with supreme confidence and thats bigger than a "talent" issue.

Kinda pisses me off...
I ALWAYS hold players accountable first, but when the players lose confidence the coaches in the building gotta do something about it.

Jacob Sexton’s dad is currently melting down on Twitter

Not sure how to post screenshots but he is going off on Teddy and Gabe for supposedly “throwing BB under the bus”. He is saying all kinds of crazy stuff to anyone replying to him.

Side note: I listened to Teddy and Gabe’s pod and this was probably the most complimentary Gabe was towards Sexton all year. Not sure what the dad is up in arms about.

Football The final stretch is an 'opportunity' for Joe Jon Finley

No such thing as a moral victory for Oklahoma. But Joe Jon Finley turned some heads with how the offense played in the first half.

2025 Offensive Line

Who do you think will be starting next year on the offensive line?

Mine
LT = Michael F. / Autry Dent/. Sexton
LG = Eddy P. / Ozeta/ BJ. Brooks
C = Josh A./ Bates/ Everett ( Not sure his years)
RG = BJ Brooks/ Hatchet/ Daniel A
RT = Sexton/ Ryan F./ Taylor (Injuries)

I understand I missing a lot of guys.... rotation could be moved around. I do think Sexton is better at RT than LT personally.

How bad is Sexton's injury?

I know they're trying to preserve redshirts, but if Sexton's injury is as bad as it sounds, we can't leave Howland in; he can't hold an athletic Edge rusher. I say we put in Isaiah Autry-Dent and see if his athleticism can help him keep up. Let's start him in Maine and Mizzou and see how he does. If it isn't any better, take him out and preserve his redshirt. If it works out, burn his redshirt, and there's your future at LT.

Pick-6: Plays vs. Ole Miss that give Sooners' offense hope for improvement

Here's a deeper look at six plays that Oklahoma should be able to build upon as they hope to improve the offense over the last four games of the season.
