OUI 2024 Survivor Pool - Week 10

Week 9 brought the first true exploding cigar of the 2024 Survivor Pool, as heavily-favored Liberty managed to lose to previously winless Kennesaw State, taking down 34 contestants in the process. In all, we're down 36 survivors.

A tribute to the fallen:

Picked Miami Twice In One Season (2) - @Android3011 , @soonerjag86

Here's where that leaves us. Our initial pool of 214 contenders has been trimmed by roughly 2/3rds, as only 72 survivors remain unscathed. Meanwhile, the ranks of the FBS unbeatens is down to 8 teams remaining.

Our Leaderboard:
Interestingly, none of the leaders have used the same combination of teams, so lots of outcomes are still on the board, including paths to having a single winner rather than a tie.

Most Heavily-Utilized:
  • Penn State (56)
  • Indiana (51)
  • Army (48)
Least Heavily-Utilized:
  • Iowa State (24)
  • BYU (29)
  • Oregon (32)
All right, chat, who you got in Week 10?

Damonic Williams

Someone who has watched him more closely than me, and is more appraised of the NFL draft boards: What’s the likelihood he leaves after this year? He’s been super solid but has he been good enough to make the jump? It seemed like that was the expectation before the year- he’s been good but I haven’t heard anything about him leaving, or seen him on any draft boards in the top 10 DT’s.

Basketball Jalon Moore ready for final season with the Sooners: 'Unfinished business'

My main preseason story for men's basketball concerns Jalon Moore, who was OU's best player last season. Now, he returns for one last go around.

Tulane vs Charlotte.... Joe Craddock?

Let's start with I know enough about football to know my opinion is of little value to the people in the "know" category. I watched the game last night and was impressed at times and others not so much. The offensive drives were saved by some pocket presences and by the QB's athletic abilities. The defense was forced to cover the entire field and some of the 3rd and medium play calls were impressive. I am not sure Craddock will be slam dunk to success but its hard to evaluate against Charlotte, who I know nothing about. The time of possession freaks will love Joe. The point geeks may not be as impressed with only 27 points scored while possessing the ball 3/4's of the game.

214 passing (21/29)
217 rushing (48 attempts)
Averaged 5.5 yards per play
42:09 Time of Possession.
Anyone else see it different?
