I saw a post from someone the other day asking about the breakdown of percentage of players with particular star ratings drafted, and I recalled an Atlantic article on the topic. I found the article with the school by school data for P5 but not the collective numbers (if someone has them, please post - thanks). In general, for the 10 or so years the Atlantic examined data the breakdown was around the following:

5 stars: ~60% drafted
4 stars: ~ 20% drafted
3 stars: less than 10% (closer to 5% I believe) drafted

Notably, top recruiting schools tended to have more like 15% of their 3 stars drafted, which is probably due to them mostly getting high 3 star guys. There are so many 3 stars that there is a big range with those guys.

At any rate, the data shows a significant correlation between recruiting ranking and odds of being drafted, though the ratings are far from perfect.

This Mahommes Vs Brady Convo is missing context, that context being ol number 18. If Peyton gets drafted to the Pats and Brady goes #1 to a mediocre organization like The Colts does anyone really believe the team successes would be different? Peyton wins 8 Superbowls for the Pats.

Whether it was Rivaldo Soares' injury or Baylor's hot shooting, it was a really tough night for the OU in Waco.

Texas Tech transfer Brendan Girton started on the mound against the starting lineup. He pitched 5 innings only giving up one hit, which was an infield single. Look for him to be the Sunday starter for the Sooners

True Freshman OF Dasan Harris made an outstanding diving play in the Outfield and then doubled up the runner on first base. He added to his impressive day with a HR to deep right field. His HR came against Wichita State transfer, Jace Miner

Jackson Nicklaus had an impressive day at the plate with a solo HR and a double.

Juco Transfer Kyson Witherspoon came in from the Bullpen and dealt. Pitched two innings and gave up no hits. Was consistently sitting at 94 MPH. Look for him to be a key piece out of the bullpen for the Sooners

Tough start for Jordy and Nebraska. She pitched 2.1 innings giving up three runs including two hits and four walks. She then gets hurt in an odd way and Nebraska gets run ruled by Washington. Nebraska loses to Duke and beats Long Beach State.

Wish the best for her. I get it wanting to play for the home school but she had a chance to go down as the most dominant softball pitcher in college softball history.

Talk about a kid who fits Oklahoma perfectly.

Not 100 percent convinced he ends up in the class just yet… but it’s hard to imagine there’s a kid out there who makes more sense for OU on paper than Wimberly.

What ever happened with OUs recruitment on this kid? He was a lock until around December and I haven’t even heard him in the mix at receiver since. Don’t remember any notes on he and OUs relationship souring (other than the contentious Mizzouri stuff with Green). Did the Caden Green situation have anything to do with him falling out of favor with OU?

Love her or hate her for leaving I hope we can all agree we hope she bounces back from this

I still have Chiefs 23-20, but that hurt me to say. I’m an avid Broncos fan and dislike the Chiefs with all my heart. Even so, I think Mahomes always wins in the playoffs and until he doesn’t, I’m picking them.
