Laughing stock of SEC

I’ve never seen such an undisciplined team from top to bottom when it matters the most. Offense, defense, QB. 5yr DBs getting completely lost. Xavier Robinson and our K were the Only bright spot. Holy cow. They hand us the game and somehow we find a way to lose. We lose in the absolute most embarrassing fashion I’ve ever seen.

Time to go get Curt.

Time to start over, starting from the top

I like BV and wanted him to succeed. It’s not going to happen. Tonight was a must win. Missouri sucks and Pyne is terrible. The OU offense is pathetic (except for Xavier Robinson, bravo kid). The defense collapsed. This program needs a new voice and direction. Two games and it should be a complete reset with a totally new staff.

I used to think this was a joke.. now I’m starting to wonder..:

I didn’t think Deion Sanders was a coach worth a damn, but now, the question is, “is Deion worthy of consideration?” Close your eyes and think big picture, what would Deion do with this program? Think cleaning house, recruiting… the whole picture? Is it really something to laugh at anymore based on what he’s done at Colorado?

Give me some real, deep thoughtful answers.

No offensive coordinator issue

I just really believe it will be extremely hard to pull a competent OC in with talks of BV being allowed one more chance in 2025. Oc making bank at another school aren’t risking what could set them back 5-8 years in their careers if it’s a failure. It’s a tough decision, but it’s just time move on. Records, play on field have been proven. This is Oklahoma and the pit in your gut from last night is real cause you care for Ou football.

It’s a thin line and world isnt crashing, but this could set us back badly. This team has quit. Injuries so I can’t play, defense lets them drive field in 2 min. Nepotism and veterans only play.

I’m a Godly man, but I don’t want my football team that way. SOFT. That’s what we are. SOFT. Have been under BV for a long time.

Enjoy your Sunday because these last two games are going be a bloodbath

Am I wrong for…

Am I wrong for wanting Urban Meyer as the HC?

Is there anyone in the ranks that could argue against this or name someone better that is out there?!?

I’ve been a BV believer despite the short comings thinking I could chalk it up to bad luck, but 25-17?!?!? Come tf on man! Im done!

Please someone enlighten me!

I don’t want a 1st yr hc bc they were a good coordinator either!

Trying not to let my emotions speak for me…

I was thrilled when OU hired BV as head coach…Now, 3 years into his tenure, I am beaten down…He is not the head coach for OU…He may end up being a very good HC in the future but I am too old to wait for that to happen…This entire “dumpster fire” of a season is on him…He assembled this staff and he is the CEO…I know he has an enormously high buyout but it is time to make change…Joe C, you might want to see if Coach Cignetti is interested in coming to the Palace on the Prairie…Boomer!!!

Delaying the Inevitable?

As the title suggests, are we delaying the inevitable at this point?

Do we really assume that even a strong OC hire makes this team competitive in 2024? More importantly, does it actually change the trajectory of this program?

At this point we know what this 2024 OU team is. Horrendous OL, devoid of talent at WR (injuries) and TE (development), and incompetent QB play. Inconsistent defense with poor pass coverage and poor situational awareness, not to mention bad special teams.

Let’s say this team goes 5-7 (likely) and BV is retained. What about this current roster and staff gives any hope of marked improvement next year? Unless Taylor, Sexton, and Fbechi make massive improvements the OL will still be below average. The TE room is bad and poorly coached. We don’t have an SEC level Quarterback on the roster. The defense will need to bring back everyone and mitigate transfers to have a chance at being as good as this year’s D.

Beyond that, do we suddenly expect Brent to improve as a game day head coach in year 4? The in game decisions, clock management, high penalization, constant late communication of play calls. That’s not even considering the sloppy, disorganized execution we’ve seen three straight years on the field.

To summarize, I genuinely ask would keeping Brent really even be a discussion if the buyout wasn’t $40M?
