ORIGNIAL -- Since Josh was there and had heard this was about to happen, I reached out to some people to find out if it was as bad as I thought.
Here's what I learned.
1. Hicks committed to OU. Flat out committed and said it was done.
2. A&M flipped Hicks last night/early this morning. Hicks never called OU to tell them he was changing his commitment.
OU coaches never had a chance to go back in because they thought they were good. Not sure if Hicks continued to tell them he was committed, but I can tell you he never told OU he was flipping after committing to them in the first place.
