I never use the post anywhere feature, but wanted to say congrats on hiring Emmett as the new WRs coach
from what I understand, Jones went after the UNT head coach opening pretty hard this past month and then the interest from OU came shortly afterwards...there is a sizable buyout being paid to Texas Tech and the two programs went back and forth with offers to Jones
he was already making $450k plus bonuses, good for No. 15 in the nation as of last year...I'm hearing the buyout is north of $500-600k, fwiw
Emmett is as advertised, and I wrote this column 6-7 years ago introducing him and his coaching background to the Tech fans at the time
