GENERAL NOTES

• The win was the Sooners’ 16th straight, which is the seventh longest streak in program history and is the their longest since winning 20 in a row over the 2000 and ‘01 seasons. The 16-game streak is also the longest active one in the country (next longest is 11 by Georgia, which has a bye this week).
• This is Oklahoma’s first 8-0 start since the 2004 season, and its 18th 8-0 start in its history (not counting the 1973 season, which ended 10-0-1 with a tie in the second game of the year).
• This is the third time under head coach Lincoln Riley the Sooners have registered a winning streak of eight games in a season (also in 2017 and 2020).
• Oklahoma has won 16 straight games against Kansas, each by at least 12 points. The Sooners have scored at least 34 points in each of their last 12 contests against the Jayhawks. It is the longest such streak in school history against a single opponent.
• Since the start of the 2012 season, Oklahoma is 46-8 (.852) in regular season games away from home. OU has scored at least 30 points in 46 of those 53 contests.
• Oklahoma has won 28 of its last 30 true road games, and has scored at least 30 points in each of its last 35 true road games.
• Oklahoma scored touchdowns on all five of its second-half possessions after not scoring on its three possessions in the opening half.
• The Sooners were held scoreless in the first half for the first time since the 2014 Russell Athletic Bowl vs. Clemson.
• Oklahoma gained 320 of its 398 total yards in the second half, including 213 of its 220 rushing yards and 107 of its 178 passing yards. The Sooners outscored the Jayhawks 35-13 in the second half.
• OU has registered at least one takeaway in 14 straight games and in 15 of the last 16, and is plus-13 in turnover margin during that
span. The Sooners have committed only eight turnovers through eight games this season.
• Seven Sooners caught at least one pass in the game (four shared the lead with three receptions). At least seven receivers have caught a pass in each of OU’s eight games this season (nine players caught a pass in each of the first seven games of the season).
