Before the OSU series, OU was tied for 5th all-time with 38 straight wins; they were tied with the 1997 South Carolina team.
Friday's win gave them sole possession of 5th place.
Saturday's win puts the 2023 team in a tie for third with the 2022 OU team (won 2 in 2021 and the 38 in 2022) and also the 2021 OU team (won 7 in 2020 and 33 in 2021)
When a win on Sunday the will move into a tie for 2nd place with the 2019 OU team (who won all their 41 games in 2019)
It's a ways to go, and it'll be tough, but if the 2023 team wins 7 more games (to have a 47 game streak -- sound familiar!) they will be tied for 1st with Arizona's 1997 team. It will also be the first team to get 47 straight wins in a single season (Arizona's 47 spanned 1996 and 1997).
