GAME NOTES

• Oklahoma has won 30 of its last 35 true road games, dating back to the 2014 season.
• OU improved to 79-7-2 (.909) all-time record against Iowa State, and 50-3-1 in its last 54 games against the Cyclones. The Sooners’ .909 winning percentage against ISU is the best by one Power Five program against another (minimum 50 games played).
• The Sooners are now 38-3-1 (.917) and have won 25 of their last 26 meetings vs. the Cyclones in Ames.
• Fourteen of OU’s last 17 wins in the series have been by at least 10 points. The 14-point margin today marked ISU’s largest defeat of the season.
• The Sooners have won seven of their last eight regular season games when unranked (going back to 2009).
• Oklahoma rushed for 182 yards in the game, which is 77 yards more than the average rushing yards Iowa State had allowed this season entering the game (105.3).
• Oklahoma held Iowa State to 66 rushing yards on 27 carries (2.4 average). It was the second time OU has held an opponent to fewer than 100 rushing yards this season (held UTEP to 28 yards on the ground). The Sooners limited the Cyclones to nine rushing yards in the first half on 12 carries.
• OU allowed ISU to convert only 7 of 20 third downs (35%). It was the fifth time this season the Sooners have held an opponent below a 40% third down conversion rate.
• Oklahoma outgained Iowa State in total yardage in the first half, 227 to 144. It was the lowest total yardage output by an OU opponent in a first half this season (previous low was 148 yards by Nebraska).
• Prior to today, the last time Oklahoma intercepted three passes in a game was the 2020 Cotton Bowl against Florida. OU also registered three interceptions against Iowa State in the 2020 Big 12 Championship. The last time the Sooners had three interceptions in a true road game was in 2015 at TCU.
