1. Yes, he does have two years of eligibility left.

2. Oklahoma felt confident about him when we spoke yesterday at the camp, even with the notion of him wanting to get back home and the health issues with a very close member of his family. Also, the Sooners had some strong pull and relationships with Terry and Todd Bates was the leader of that charge.

Let’s just say Coach Bates understood what Terry is going through and that bond is strong.

3. And this is important to note…

Tennessee was trying so very hard to keep Terry. Sources told OUinsider yesterday, “The Vols threw everything but kitchen sink at him because he was finally starting to put things together and he has a very high ceiling if he continues to develop the next few years.”

4. Oklahoma is hyped about this land. There is a strong sense that OU is “right there” with the talent they have on the DL now, and one source even said, “Things are changing. People may not buy into because of last year, but it is.”

Honestly, that’s just half of the quote. I have some team stuff coming you all will like. Some good. Some improvements needed, but the vibe on the team is very much “6-7 and 2022 won’t happen ever again.” That was stated numerous times to me yesterday.

All in all, landing Terry was a huge deal and that means more help on the interior for 2023 and 2024.
