I could be way off, but the vibe I get from Lehman and others is that BV is so set on "Stripping this down to the studs" that we really aren't putting our players in the best position to win now. It's all about 3 years from now. I think it's pretty obvious to everyone the defense needs to simplify to win now and not keep doing the same thing over and over (definition of insanity). I'm really afraid if this is the case, that strategy will backfire on him. He's risking us having a losing record which will lose a lot of the fan base, players, recruiting class, OU admin and booster confidence etc.. Also I don't see how potentially losing a few weeks of bowl practices benefits the long term plan? I'm afraid if he keeps down this path he'll never see the Long Term outcome because he'll be gone. This program only has so much patience and does it really take the worst and most embarrassing season most of us can remember to get where he wants to take us?
