August 2022 version of my 2023 Class Prediction –

Well this whole enterprise just got a whole lot easier or did it become more difficult? Beyond Vickers, Evans, and Jacobe Johnson, the choices are becoming harder and harder. Very few if any layups.
Pretty much the remaining targets are in two buckets
  1. Those targets with an official visit to use this fall. (Hicks, McDonald, Akana, Renaud, maybe Coleman)
  2. Those targets committed elsewhere (Bowen, Yaites)
I don’t think OU lands Malachi Coleman and instead goes to the portal for a TE. Same thing at OL.
One last month to still predict flips from the Denton safeties. And I still like OU to win the Hicks marathon.
If a surprise is coming it’s at DL/DE with Bates and Chavis.
Based on last month, I missed on Kirkland, and that recruiting took a very weird turn after his OU visit. I didn’t pick either Wagoner or Howland. Kudos to @Josh_M in his July prediction for getting those right. However he missed on Lewis Carter and looks like he's going to miss on Makari Vickers.

All player rankings are 247 Composite (unless noted) and here’s the Class score right now : 301.45
(Rivals update is due mid August and a number of Sooners are due for rankings bumps)
That’s right around #3 in the nation on 247 Composite using the last five years of data
