I'm not playing "what if", but I thought it was worth noting that, at one time or another, OU had all of the following class of 2023 Rivals 250 kids actually committed:

#6 Malachi Nelson (USC) [who would rather have him than Jackson?]
#10 Peyton Bowen (OU)
#11 Brandon Inniss (Ohio St)
#13 Jackson Arnold (OU)
#35 PJ Adebawore (OU)
#40 Colton Vasek (Texas)
#44 Cayden Green (OU)
#58 Makai Lemon (USC)
#76 Jaquaize Pettaway (OU)
#114 Deandre Moore (Texas)
#132 Makari Vickers (OU)
#151 Anthony Evans (Georgia)
#158 Lewis Carter (OU)
#189 Daylan Smothers (OU)
#200 Samuel Omosigho OU)
#226 Jacobe Johnson (OU)

We'll see about #5 David Hicks.

PLUS we had/have commitments from the #3 Center (Bates), Treyaun Webb (who at one time was a top 40 kid), Luke Hasz (ditto), and Ashton Cozart.

We signed kids from an unbelievable FOURTEEN states (OK, TX, FL, IN, TN, CA, WA, NC, MO, NJ, PA, NE, CO and OH).

Unusually, we also had four in-state 4-star kids that OU offered but who chose to sign elsewhere (Adams, Hasz, Tease and Jobe).

It's been a wild and crazy ride this year. Even more so than usual.
