(From DOK)
For all you guys telling me Viney is not any big deal to try and keep in some capacity...
You talk a lot about graduate assistant coach Chip Viney. How much has he meant to you?
"Man. To be honest with you, I don’t think I’d be the player I am right now without Chip. He’s helped me out tremendously. Not just on the field, but off the field. Maturing as a man, helping me get through some tough situations I was going through. I really haven’t had a mentor besides my pops, and when I got to college, it was a blessing that he was here my second year. Because who knows where I would be right now? He took me under his wing and made me a better player and a better young man. I think he’s been the biggest part of my game improvement than anybody else."![Er... what? o_O o_O](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
So you think he’s got a pretty bright future as a coach?
"Oh, yeah. I wish I could be 17 or 16 for when he does get that coaching job. He’s gonna bring so much energy. He just brings a different feeling to playing DB. We’ve had some intense, intense workouts. He’s just a huge part of my success, and I think he’ll definitely make this group of DBs a lot better."
(I bet Zach isn't the only player who feels this way.)
