The problem I have with this narrative is that it changes depending on who the talking heads want to put in... in 2011 Okie State beat four ranked teams and lost in an OT road game to Unranked Iowa State. The argument was that even though they had better wins than LSU, the loss was worse than LSUs. So LSU made the Championship Game. So now in 2018 big losses don’t really matter to some of these guys. Don’t get me wrong, I think OU definitely makes the top 4. The SEC bias is just ridiculous. ESPN should not have exclusive contracts with leagues. Too much conflict of interest. My .02
