*Few things are more interesting right now in Oklahoma's recruiting than what is going on with the pass rushers. Oklahoma is obviously very close on both Marcus Stripling and David Ugwoegbu though the latter is also very close with A&M and we should all know the verdict following this weekend's trip to College Station.

But Scoop continues to hear not only new names, like Kristian Varner, emerge but different ideas. There is some talk, as I've been discussing for a few weeks now, of a 3-tech being part of the plans and it's part of the thinking behind the offer to Keonte Schad.

What's more interesting is some of the continued chatter that even Stripling could get a look at the three technique.

But what all this really tells you? Is that with Oklahoma's current personnel, and what has been recruited, that there is so many variations these diverse players could fit into the future defensive coordinator's new scheme.

In a three-down front Kori Roberson is a powerful run-stopping defensive end, in a four-down, he is a highly athletic three-technique. Again, just a lot to pay attention to.

**We talked about it some on the pod but what is also interesting is that most of Oklahoma's 2019 defensive signees figure to sign in the early period with the Sooners.

As you look through the list and talk to some people the only players that seem to ever get mentioned as 'we'll see' are Derek Green and Jonathan Perkins. Green, as we've talked about before, is still talking with some other schools and in both cases I keep hearing some chatter about how they really fit into the defensive's future plans.

But when you look at Woodi Washington, Jaden Davis, Kori Roberson, Marcus Hicks, Jamal Morris, and Joseph Wete there just isn't a lot there that makes you think that those guys won't be signing on the dotted line in December. Undoubtedly with the news that figures to come out between now and then some of that stance will change but it's pretty remarkable with this staff has been able to do in regard to keeping people on board in the face of near inevitable changes.

***24 more hours and we can put all the talk to rest, Thanksgiving is a meal, Christmas is a happening. But it IS a good meal so we'll break down what you need to be eating tomorrow.

Let's focus on ranking the chief pieces of Thanksgiving:

1) Pecan pie, this is the champion of all baked goods.

2) Broccoli and cheese rice, it's not on everyone's table but to me it's so underrated. But again pretty much anything cheese is involved in, I'm down with.

3) Green Bean Casserole, it's outstanding...but I won't go on as this is @Eddie_Rado's arena.

4) Dressing...in almost any form (so many different types) this is amazing.

5) Ham, don't come at me with turkey, NEED SOME HAM ON THAT TABLE. Secondary...miss me with honey baked ham.

Things you DO NOT eat:

1) Cranberry (ANYTHING), this is an abomination of both taste and texture.

2) Pumpkin pie, if you can have pecan why would you at this goo? Is there any other time of the year you think 'man, I want to eat pumpkins'. NAHHHH.

3) White turkey, it's just like the pumpkin, it's about the alternative being much, much, much better.
