This would be great for our fanbase with travel etc. but will the committee send us there? I know they are suppose to just rank the teams 1-4 but you know they look at travel etc. to determine where each team will play. You know that ESPN/ABC would love an OU-Bama rematch and that ratings wold be though the roof or do they separate us so that this would be the NC game if both are to win their semifinal games? They would be taking a huge risk of one of us losing in the semifinal game if they don't pair us up immediately.

IMO here is what happens/scenarios:

* If Alabama looks great and wins big then they may move them up to #1 and they will leave us at 3 so we still go to Arlington to play and hope for both Bama and OU win out.
*If Alabama wins a tight game vs. a mediocre Florida teams then they move to Bama to #4 and leave us at #2 or #3.

***Assuming Clemson wins vs NC I think they match up OU vs. Clemson somehow and maybe they do have us play Clemson in Miami. Then, they hope for an OU vs. Bama matchup for the NC game. This way the ratings are still high for the OU/Clemson matchup in the semifinals and then even bigger NC OU/Bama game.

Thoughts?

I absolutely believe that the committee wants an OU-Bama championship game!
How excited would people be for Clemson vs Iowa? Ugh!
I expect they will either move Bama to number 1 if Clemson loses, and we go to Dallas, or they drop us to four to play Clemson and move the B1G into the three slot against Bama!

I don't think OU will end up in Arlington. Here's how I see it playing out:

Clemson beats UNC in a close one.
Bama crushes Florida.
MSU upsets unbeaten Iowa.
Stanford gets revenge on USC.

That puts Clemson at #1, Bama at #2, MSU will jump OU to #3 by beating an undefeated Iowa team and OU is in as the Big 12 Champ at #4. Clemson, as the #1 team, gets to play in the location closest to home, which would be the Orange Bowl against #4 OU. Bama and MSU go to Arlington.
