I'm not against alternate uniforms, but I'm just not wild about the ones we are wearing this Saturday...

I'm still partial to the jerseys we wore back in the 70's that were plain...maybe add the OU emblem on the neckline?

I was told on this board that no self respecting university would ever wear trendy uniforms.

But full disclosure there has been a lot of horseshit claims on this board.

I like the new unis. Especially the red jerseys and white pants. I don't mind them 2-3 times a year. Regardless how the fans feel, the players like having alternates and so do the recruits.

It's about marketing (money) and appealing to high school boys who have no interest in maintaining existing traditional uniforms....like the ones Alabama, Penn State, LSU, or Auburn still maintain. Up until last year, I thought OU would refrain from alternate uniforms, but I guess if it's good enough for Notre Dame, it's good enough for OU.
Personally, I believe OU should not have joined the alternate uniform crowd.

I haven't even seen them yet. Anyone have have a pic to post up or where they are posted at? OU sports webpage I assume? Are they different from the last alternate uniforms OU wore?

Bump. What Billy Ray said. Where can we get a look at these alternate uni's? I just checked the Official OU site and there is nothing about alternate uni's on Saturday. Striping the stadium? Yes. New uni's? No.

Is someone trolling?

As long as we win I don't care if they wear these. BOOMER!
