i dont know about you, but when vegas released the RRR as ou-10.5 i did a double-take. that's waaay too many points right? well turns out there some interesting behind-the-scenes maneuvering going on. basically you've got 2 kinds of bettors...the pros (called "sharps") and the public (called "chumps"...that last nickname may actually be true lol). very often they differ on who they bet on, and the RRR is no exception, only even more so this year. so check this out. vegas studied the game, knows the sharps did too, and so they put out a big number monday favoring ou. but...did you notice how the vegas line opened at 10.5 and then went up to 11.5 the next day?! well it turns out the sharps are nearly 90% on OU! that's right almost universal "pro" money bet on OU -10.5 moved the line up. what about us chumps? how about 62% on texas!
