What's the biggest thing you look forward to next season?

I'm probably like most of you in that I'm curious as to to see what/if the performance changes on defense, but overall, I think the biggest thing I'm looking forward to is the new offense along with the new OC and his play calling. There are so many things to look forward to such as starting QB, who gets more touches in this offense Perine or Mixon, does the OC adjust his past ratio of pass/run to find touches for Perine? It's going to be an interesting season. We could come out flat as the offense isn't understood fully yet, we could come out flying high and setting the tone for the season and the Big 12 or we could come out and just maintain.

After last year, I'm looking forward to a fun season for 2015

I've always been a 'defense' guy when it comes to football, so for me I wanna see if these guys, Mike and Bob included, take their due criticisms personal and get the guys playing with a nasty attitude and a big chip on their shoulders.

If OU will play better with the new coaching changes....which hopefully will reflect upgrades.
Beyond such a general statement, I want to see how the offensive line will be rebuilt, who starts at quarterback, how the secondary will shape up and if Siebert can be a good pressure performing kicker as a true freshman..

Besides the obvious anxiety of who wins the quarterback job, I'm looking forward to the game in Knoxville against Tennessee. I think that will tell us a lot about far the offense and defense has come with all the changes Bob's made this year. Big game on the road against an improved SEC team. And the fact that I don't like Tennessee and their ugly Big Orange.

Edit: I also have a bet on the game with my good Vols friend that will be at the game. Hoping that he has miserable ride home back to Johnson City.

Mike Stoops proving that he can once again field a championship defense. Absolutely necessary to have a chance to win the Big XII considering that the offense will most likely take time to work out the wrinkles and get a new offensive line in sync.

Ahh... I forgot about this kid. He's supposed to be a rock star in the world of kicking footballs. If he's good to go early on, he'll give Bob some options on FGs.

If he's good to go early on, he will be Stoops' ONLY option at FG's......I hope he can also do kickoffs as well as Hodgson did. Hodgson's kicks were consistently through the end zone and probably saved OU's defense a lot of problems.....and OU's defense needed all the help it could get.

Kid has a leg, if he kicks 60 yarders with regularity I'm pretty sure he will be able to boom them on kickoffs. Kid is also a very good punter.

My thoughts exactly. More specifically, the pass defense has to be the most improved facet of the D for OU to get back to being a championship D. The run defense was solid, but the pass defense was horrible and has the most room for improvement.

Rebuilding the O line, finding WRs to step up and settling on a QB will be huge, but I don't think it will take them as long to gel as the pass defense, which was the weakest unit on last year's squad.

It is hard to say what the biggest thing might be when it comes to OU football in 2015. A couple of things stand out for me for us to be greatly improved. So, in no particular order I would suggest the following.

1. For us to be really good we have to find a minimum of really great cover corners. If Mike doesn't fix the secondary then the defense is really going to suffer. Sanchez is the key to the corners. He has to make some huge improvements and eliminate the 2 - 3 major breakdowns in coverage he makes in about every game. Jordan Thomas has to make some huge improvements and grow a bunch from the end of 2014 to September of 2015. then we have to find some backup help for these two. I honestly don't know where that is going to come from as Austin and Taylor sort of faded into the background last year. Perhaps Marcus Green or the new JUCO CB or one or two of the new kids like Windham can step up.

2. Also on defense we need to get better play out of the LBers. If Shannon can come back ready to play maybe he can help.

3. On offense we have to find a QB that can quickly pickup Riley's offense and get in sync with the WRs

4. We have a huge hole at OT and my hope there is that the two RS Freshmen Frison and Brown are as good as the hype.

I think if we can solve the above we have a good chance of fielding a pretty solid team. If I were forced to pick one of the above it would be the CB situation. If you can't cover in this league you aren't going to win.

Actually for me the biggest item is fund raising for our football facilities.

If we can do everything to the stadium that's desired in the next 2 to 4 years it's going to help our recruiting and help OU win big!

Tears streaming down Longhorn fans faces as they watch their hated rival score 70 on them! As they exit the Cotton Bowl, their despair is too much for them as they weep uncontrollably.

That, and the defense.
