That Coach Riley learns from this game and never makes the same (and so many) mistakes again......and that somehow, someway, OU can play defense again.
I could go on, but everyone here knows this already.

I blame it on the break down of the offensive line. Baker getting sacked 3 times?????? Plus the option play calls???????

Riley went into a holding pattern on his play calling in the last few minutes of the game and the OT. I will never understand the squibb kick when we have a guy that launches the ball into the end zone 95% of the time. Murray & Beal were out of position so many times. Once their RBs got through out line they had open highways to the end zone. Riley's lack of big game experience was out there for all to see.

Right, SS...I believe last night's game makes it even MORE difficult for Riley to pull the trigger on Mike...It would look as though he was 'throwing him under the bus' as the fall guy in the loss, when Riley MUST realize that he was as much at fault, if not more so, than Mike. Riley HAD the Pieces, and didn't use them, efficiently, and to the Max. Mike didn't coach the D up, either, but he didn't have the same quality of players. I am one of the most outspoken Mikey Critics, but the fault was not solely on him, IMO...He played a huge part in the poor D, all season, while Riley's miscues were more subtle, but ever-present. Last night, Riley's were fully exposed, on the National Stage, complete with Spot Lights!

When UGA lined up in the wild cat, Riley should have called a timeout. He's lack of understanding on both sides of the ball, is extremely evident. He's play calling throughout the year didn't do the Defense any favors, a lot of the time. He showed his Rookie colors, this year. I hope he can right the ship but it will take a defensive guru, with a BIG personality, to takeover. Someone that can get Riley to understand defense and what needs to happen on offense. To help the defense.

He's cute play calling when he has one of the best Oline, best QB, best FB and best TE. Also showed up. He went into a shell and showed he doesn't have what it takes to winner. I hope he can change but if not he will go down as another good but not great coach.

The defense is not any good, I thought Evens was the worst LB to ever start, at OU. I was wrong. Beal playing LB, is without a doubt, the worst I have seen. His size, at 215, with average speed, 4.7 or so but slow hips. His lack of gap control, his judgement of positioning, the angles he takes. Murray is just young and some of the best LB, we have had were not ready as a true freshman.

The horrible news, we have very little depth at LB and with nothing coming in this year at LB, it just might get worst.

Speaking of the TE, where was Andrews over the middle when we got down in the red zone? He seemed pretty nonexistent

Given the history & the type of defense Mike Stoops employs, if you were a Top 10 or Top 20 L|B in the country would you sign to play at OU? Hell no.

I get Andrews getting taken out of the game (he's simply not that elusive), but the stat of the game for me is Trey Sermons, 2 rushes for 34 yards. TWO. It was evident the kid was amped up to play against UGA, proved himself on a 31 yarder, and then....take a seat??? Would have been nice seeing him at least wear down their LBs in the 3rd instead of watching Baker get sacked 3 times.

I thought this year was "next year". I was wrong again. I wonder if next year is going to be "next year".

Does anybody really know what time it is
Does anybody really care
If so I can't imagine why
We've all got time enough to cry

Yup - another year of crying.

I'm not crying. Several of us called it after the ISU debacle that there was no way OU would ever win another Natty w/ Mike Stoops as the DC. To be very honest, I'm surprised they made the playoffs. And when they did, they played a hell of a game. They did not get rolled or embarrassed. In fact, while they came up short, they were part of the best game of the CFB year.

Hold your head high Sooner Nation. Even higher when MS gets fired!

I know that D is horrible, but lets not forget Georgia went on a 24 - 0 unanswered run. The D actually made several key stops late in the game and the offense wasn't able to even get a first down when it mattered. There is blame on both sides of the ball...not to mention a dumb squib, a blocked FG, and a 29 yard punt in the last critical moments.
