The last few weeks seem to be the longest part of the wait to football season... I have been thinking about the first game and what aspect of the game I am most interested in seeing. I have confidence that LR will produce an offense that will be in the top 3 in the league and should be balanced. I think the first game tells us more about the defense than it does the offense. While FAU isn't a P5 team, they have a very dynamic offense. I am hoping this is the year we start turning the corner on defense (Although I am starting to feel a little like Charlie Brown and the football). I am not sure what stats need to be to say the defense played well. Rushing under 100yds? passing under 225? Is that asking too much? Thoughts....
