I've got a photo of one of my sons shaking hands & schmoozing with Dede on the field in Ames a few weeks ago. I told him that night he just met a 1st round star.

I believe Mayfield proved he is the #1 player since he continued to put up points, even with Westbrook out of the game.

Westbrook did enough today to sit with the Heismen, possibly helping Baker haul home the statue

Westbrook had 4 catches for 111 yards and OU's first touchdown so he did play a big part in the win early on.
I would also credit Perine's 239 yards as a factor. It was OU's running game that sealed the deal in the second half.
Mayfield averaged 22 yards per completion for 288 yards on only 13 throws....for three touchdowns.
I did not like Siebert's kickoffs being so shallow. Sanders had some good returns because of that.
