I am quite excited now for the spring game. My first one to attend since my college days. I want to see the young WR pups show their wares. And to see Grinch and company getting the ship out of the shoals and back on track.

Things are going as well as we could have hoped for this off-season, but establishing a culture for playing defense is, right now, the top priority and this could take some time.
Given the overall weakness of the 2019 schedule, OU's shortcomings on defense might not be realized until it plays in a bowl game. Right now....and with Hurts on the roster....the schedule this fall does not concern me.

Thanks for the kind words SS! We have all been a little hard on our guys this past season especially the defense but damn we are getting what we have all wanted lately for a long time coming. Very exciting times to be a Sooner!
How can you not be excited as a Sooner Fan with all thats happened lately?
OU is in good hands right now with Riley and we are very LUCKY to have him.
He is not perfect but name a team that would not take him right now outside of bama and clemson.

For a long time for me the gauge on a program was winning it all. As I get older thats not what its all about. Its more than that, its about having a staff that cares, a staff that wants to compete at the highest level on the field and off, to set a standard that others want to follow, to care about the young men as if they were your own kids, I think Riley is that guy and it shows when he talks about his guys. We are in good hands for years to come as long as he does not have NFL aspirations.
Great times ahead Sooners, when he says we will hold that National Title Trophy up soon, I for one believe him.
texass can say they are back but we can say we never left and we are not going anywhere, we own the BIG 12 so come and take it from us if you can.

The playoff, BCS and now the 4 team set up have changed everything for me. Before, winning the conference and going to and winning a major bowl were everything. Now, its NC or nothing and I admit this is not a good frame of mind to be in. But it is what it is and as we have just tied the longest stretch in our history w/o a national championship I will be satisfied with nothing less.

They are fixing to have to install the Run-Rule, game over, due to massive ass-kicking like they have in little league baseball. Don't think its in football anywhere that I know of, That's how bad we are about to become when they have to put that in College Football to protect teams from worse humiliation by the Sooners!!! Damn we are about to explode all over like no one has since a team won 47 straight.... But I will say this and I don't think its real popular opinion, but, I lay our defensive shortcomings 85%, and lack of defensive studs on Bob Stoops door. I don't know why and can only surmise in my opinion, he just got rich, unmotivated, lazy, and checked out on the defense and recruiting to the needs of that side of the ball. I think Riley has at least the other 15% of the 85% of bobs shortcomings if he fires Mike as soon as the final gun sounds at the Rose Bowl he has no blame in it. But keeping him another half season got his hands dirty in the fvcked up mess that was Stoops bros current D. And Bob was a DC when we got him.. How he let it go to where its gotten??? Someone please tell if you know.

Bunch of Fat Cats got lazy and that shit spreads like disease, from the staff on down to the players. It really is Contagious in any type of Program or Business but is far too common today in both.
