UPDATE: 7:54p - I'm guessing Oklahoma is on the verge of landing a commitment from Scranton (Pa.) Lackawanna C.C. linebacker Kapri Doucet, considering he is visiting Norman this weekend.

UPDATE: 6:55p -
And there it is, Rivals250 defensive tackle Chris Daniels has decommitted from Oklahoma.

UPDATE: 6:52p -
Hearing that there may be some bad news for Sooners recruiting tonight. I'm not at liberty to report it but just don't want it to catch some of you off guard tonight when Oklahoma takes a hit.

UPDATE: 3:17p -
While typing my update on Kelly this news of Houston Langham Creek Rivals250 wide receiver Quartney Davis came out.

For those unaware he had been scheduled to visit Oklahoma this weekend and this is a cancellation of that. We'd alluded to rumors that Davis might be changing that when our A&M site (AggieYell.com) had reported Davis would be at A&M this weekend.

And now he is at Ole Miss, so yes, it's all a bit chaotic with him.

I'm not exactly sure if this means that Oklahoma is out with him but that is definitely the impression that I get from it. But again, I want to talk to some more about that topic.

Another possibility? Velus Jones returned from USC and gave Oklahoma a positive indication.

With his in-home schedule for tonight, perhaps we'll all know if that scenario is correct soon enough.

UPDATE: 3:08p -
Now I've talked to a well-placed source in Fresno who has kind of put some of the chaos to bed regarding five-star linebacker Caleb Kelly.

'There have been a lot of crazy calls since Notre Dame showed up last night'.

It sounds like for those around Fresno the situation has always felt a little more up in the air than has been the public perception. However, talking to my source I felt like this is all a bit of a 'oh my, you mean Notre Dame has a chance!' and a bit of an over correction to the entire situation.

Again I'm still picking Oklahoma but I'd say Notre Dame has a better chance than I'd previously given them credit for.

In reality though they weren't a true contender until Michigan dropped out, that, to me, says something.

UPDATE: 1:17p -
Talked to a few more people and it sounds like Notre Dame sold him really hard on academics, an understandable tact but I've heard a few times it was as much about coming at Oklahoma as it was pushing Notre Dame's strong academic record.

Again, the more I talk to people the more I think Oklahoma can put things to bed with the two remaining in-homes that they have but I do get the sense of some frustration that all of it got this far.

UPDATE: 12:41p -
OK guys I'm checking around more and more on this Notre Dame and Caleb Kelly and am waiting for some return calls but early on it sounds like Notre Dame went after Oklahoma pretty hard during their in-home visit and Kelly was receptive to some of it.

I think there is genuine concern, for the first time in months and months, about where Oklahoma stands with Kelly.

Now, if I'm betting, I'm still betting on Oklahoma their relationship with one of his mentors, Tone Perry, runs very deep and he also has an incredibly strong relationship with Mike Stoops and Chip Viney.

But yes, Notre Dame is making things more interesting than had previously been anticipated but both this week and next Stoops will get the final word to try and put out any fires that may be started.

UPDATE: 11:46a -
Oklahoma has offered the nation's No. 1 wide receiver, James Robinson and the nation's No. 7 running back, Anthony Davis, both of Lakeland, Fla.

ORIGINAL:
Guys a bit more quiet this morning but that may be largely because yesterday was just so crazy...

*First Oklahoma will be doing an in-home with Velus Jones tonight. The Sarland, Ala. four-star receiver has had Oklahoma waiting for quite some time but this feels like a point in time when a decision is completely possible or at the very least a chance to let Oklahoma know what the plan is following his USC visit last weekend.

*The Parrish Cobb story just won't stop running. I'd been told earlier this week that Oklahoma was likely to be facing it's toughest competition I'm told by some that Texas thinks he'll 'probably' take an official visit to Austin this weekend. I'm not reporting that as fact as it doesn't match up from what I've heard from a few sources I trust but it is something to be aware is out there.

*Finally news got out yesterday evening that there was some doubt about Oklahoma's recruitment of Houston Langham Creek Rivals250 wide receiver offer Quartney Davis and in particular his official visit for this weekend.

By one source I was told that he could be doing a midweek visit to College Station and then heading to Oklahoma this weekend.

Another source said that he would be in College Station this weekend and was unsure of if that Oklahoma visit would happen.

There is a lot of rumor and conjecture about how this plays out but, again, be aware that there is a possibility he makes the trip but also the possibility that he won't.
