So, we were 4-0 last year. We were optimistic at that point last year? I honestly don't remember. I feel like the general tone this year is optimism for so many reasons...Mayfield (but did we know at this point last year how bad Knight was going to be?) , the kicking game (but did we know at this point last year how bad it was going to be?), the defensive personnel seems better (but did we know at this point last year how bad the defense was going to be?).
I guess I just hope we aren't fooling ourselves. People with far better football minds than me, can probably see the game within these games and make a better assessment.
My biggest concern is the OL. I just feel like their is a Sunday morning coming where the main conversation on the board on this board will be..."we saw it coming", "we knew this OL was bad", "the signs were there"....or worse "who blew that block and how long will Mayfield be out?"
