We need a negative campaign

All right people (and @Wufee) it is a well known fact that Bob's teams play best with a chip on their shoulder. Play best when everyone is doubting them. 2000, no one gave that team a chance, not during Red October and definitely not against FSU. All they did is win. But then a few later and Bob's "best college team ever" lost the last two games of the season.

We had been relying on the national media, and even some local media this year, for not giving this team any respect. But now we are getting all the love, and as we all know, that makes Bob and his team go soft. So if the media won't do their job, then it is incumbent upon us, the trusty and true OU fans, to start a campaign of negativity and outright skeptictivity (yes I just made that word up, part skeptic, part whimsical) to bring our Sooners back down to earth so we will go out and win this Saturday. I have a six part plan that we must start now in order to not be overconfident.

Twit boys - Stop tweeting the recruits for the rest of this week, we need you for a new task.
1. Start tweeting about how OU is overrated. Use the hashtag OUfootballstinksbigtimeandcantbeatOSUeverthankstoMike. Also use the hashtag MikeisbetterthanBob. We need to get this trending today and through Thanksgiving.
2. Also, mention "the punt" as often as possible. Hastag that one Bobwantstopuntagain.
3. Tweet to any and all national and local media types (sans Hoover)
Bettors - This is going to be a personal sacrifice, but hosting #8 will be worth it. We need you to bet against OU big time. We need to move that spread back down. You only need to get the ball rolling a couple points so that outline point 3 will come into play. Wuf, CT and Bullmarket have all pledged big time to make this happen. We have the big donors in those three, now we need some grass roots support to provide legitimacy.
Here is were we go all undercover on the boys in Vegas. We need some people to make some well placed calls to certain individuals in the... I won't call it the mob... Italian businessmen, that you have it on good authority that Mayfield, and Mixon won't play and Perine is a game time decision. Do this Thursday night. With the smart money already coming in on OSU, this will only accelerate the move in the spread. Now we have doubt from the media.
We need to light up the phones for the talk shows. Pose as independent fans that just moved to the state, so you are unbiased. Say things that OU's lone loss is worse than MSU. tOSU and ND lone loss. Big 12 is overrated. OU is a one man show with Mayfield as proved by the 2nd half. But we also need some OU fans that are not confident. "I just have a bad feeling with the injuries and all" We need both, this is not a either/or but a both/and type of situation.
At Thanksgiving meal, play the sad sack to your OSU cousins. Tell them we are overrated. Got to where we are with smoke and mirrors. Again, think grass roots here. Talk up OSU, even put in a bit about how that sheep you saw last week looked kinda sexy. We need the state to be talking about how great OSU is. Bring up last year as an example. Say "Team on the rise" a lot.+
Someone needs to kidnap Herbstreit. I love the guy, but he is talking us up way to much. I'm looking at you @Gernansky will you take one for the team? Do you love OU as much as I think you do?

So, that is my six part plan to guarantee us a win Saturday. With all this going into effect by Thursday night into Friday morning, we just might save the day. Bob will have all Friday to circle the wagons and rally the troops. It will be us against the world again. Even our own fans are against us. (see point 4)

Let's make this happen boys. I know you can do it. OUr team needs you now more than ever. Go out and Make Awesome Happen (phrase TM by Fidelity Bank and used now without their permission because this is important stuff)
