To be considered one of the big 3-4 programs in the country for the next several years.
1) tOSU scandal sets them back a bit, and they have underperformed anyway ever since Cardale Jones came in and won the championship a few years back.
2) We are pretty well set at QB for the next several years. Murray then Kendall then Rattler. Baker proved that an elite QB gives you a chance against any team in the country.
3) Lincoln is a star, and is recruiting like the big dogs.
4) We generally have an easy path to the playoffs most years.
The way I see it, it’s Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia and then everyone else for the next few years at least. Second tier is tOSU, PSU, FSU, Miami, Auburn, Washington, USC, Wisconsin.
We may be a Tua injury away from #8 this year after seeing what we are capable of today. The D looked much improved, and we can beat anyone if we hold them to 30 or less. I’m hopeful.
