Noticed that SMU had "Dallas" on its jerseys and a big "D" on the helmet. I'm assuming it is to show the team's representation of Dallas and maybe add a little recruiting message to recruits, especially within the Metroplex.
Anything legal SMU can do to become relevant again I support.
The "death penalty" of the 1980's, in my opinion, was far too severe....and I believe its severity is why no other program has been similarly punished since. That's not saying SMU should not have been punished.....just not to that extreme. As of today, SMU may not ever fully recover.
