First thing you notice, was Nic Harris was the 2008 team's Torrance Marshall. Pregame coin flip he was giving it to the UF players. If you go back and look at coin toss from the Big 12 championship game against Mizzu, he was woofing big time at Mizzu players and even refused to shake their hands. When was last time we had that "nasty" attitude on our defense?
Man man man, not sure how anyone who looked at the this game objectively could utter the words florida raped/destroyed us. This was a close game. Two evenly matched teams. The difference was they had their superstar (P. Harvin) and we did not (D. Murray).
Austin Box plays this game and I just don't see how UF makes plays against us, instead we had a guy who never started a game in D1(Balogun)
We had just as many big, physical and nasty as Florida.
We score on goal line before the half we are leading at half and have all the momentum. Forcing UF to do something they were not accustomed to do, play from behind....
This game as well as the Lsu game tells me how much luck and fortune you need to win a championship. What I mean by luck and fortune is who is healthy and playing for the big game. 2003 Jason White can barely move. No Murray in 2008. Go back and watch the game, the holes that our OL was opening for Chris Brown would have resulted in some serious big plays for Murray. His speed is what separated him from C. Brown.
