That the boys game planned for WVU over half the week at least. I was b!tching about the game and how horrible the defense was and my bro let me know that they were planning for WVU most of the week. They thought they could win pretty comfortably over KU without putting much game planning into it and they knew there was zero chance they would lose to KU. They also knew they could beat KU 70-0 and it doesn’t help them going forward. The season is on the line against WVU. They are putting everything they have into WVU.
The other part of it was how they set up to defend the pass a lot against KU feeling that they were comfortable against the run. My buddy told me they were essentially seeing where they stood as KU runs the ball better than they throw it so they actually wanted to focus on their pass defense this game with WVU coming up.
It all makes sense because why set up to defend the pass against KU when they depend on the run?
Yes WVU will still hang 40+ on us and this all won’t even matter.
I know this all sounds like horse sh!t and it doesn’t matter because they still shoulda been able to crawl out of bed and beat KU by 30+, BUT I will say it is making me feel a tad better about Friday. Of course we shall see in 5 days.
