What a disaster zone! Looks like Baghdad in 2007.
The Switzer Center is completely gone, as is the tiny park just east of it, rubble everywhere, practice fields removed, nothing but dirt and fallen bricks and crud and trucks and cranes. The only thing uglier than a construction site is a demolition site.
Still standing, however, are the south end zone stands, their supporting concrete pillars bone-white in the afternoon sun, like they haven't been to the beach in a while. (Thus the expression, "No beaches!")
The point of this travelogue is, are they going to demolish the south stands, too, and start from scratch? They look small and spindly framed by the (kinda) majestic east, west, and north stands.
Inquiring minds ...
