Keep in mind that this is just his sophomore tape so it's not exactly the perfect reputation of the player Oklahoma offered this summer. However, it is a look at his tape.
When I first heard about him, saw his measurables, etc., I figured he was a pure run stopping safety and honestly that is a lot of what you see in this tape. Though I should definitely note that in the tape that Eddie got at Oklahoma's camp in Grand Prairie and last weekend in Tulsa he showed better ability in pass coverage than I had expected.
That being said, regardless of how he is working against the run he looks very natural. He can come up and play well in the flats or he can fight off a block, shed, and make a tackle in space.
He isn't overly physical in this tape but I think that will come with age as he continues to fill out.
@Eddie_Rado got some more tape at the Union game last weekend and we'll go over that when the chance presents itself.
