This is a guy that I've liked since first seeing his tape, he has really good size and is more than willing to be physical - however after watching him at the Houston Rivals camp (where he took home DB MVP) I went to another level.
This is a guy with an incredibly natural feel for the position, he reads receivers well and while he is aggressive he doesn't put himself in bad positions in doing so. Now part of that is thanks to him being a very, very good athlete and one that is capable of waiting for even quality receivers to show their hand before he drives on it.
His early kickoff return on the reel is a nice up close look at how natural he is in sinking his hips and changing direction - something we all know I'm obsessed with in defensive backs. That said it also shows me how good his feet is and how well he works in tight space.
He is raw fundamentally but the natural tools are there for him to really be a quality guy. A good example is one clip where he gets his hands on the receiver in press coverage and then allows him an inside release. Being the athlete he is he makes up the ground in the long run but it's just something that he can clean up and as he gets better he'll become even more dominant.
But next to being a guy who can turn and run I'm always crazy about a defensive back who isn't afraid to be physical and you can see it in the way he comes up and plays run and really how competitive he is - he'll chase plays from the backside and just wants to help his teammates.
All in all, a guy I'm a big buyer in.
