USA Todays Take on Hard Knocks and Baker

I get so tired of the ESPN narrative that Baker, "Courts controversy everywhere he goes." I guess the Johnny Manziel meltdown wasn't compelling TV for ESPN and it's like they're on the edge of their seats waiting for the first misstep, curse word or INT to pounce on him.

I don't have high expectations for the Browns or for Baker, but I do hope he shuts the haters down this season. For some, that would mean he could win the SuperBowl and they'd still find something to complain about him.

Baker's actions in Arkansas and on the Kansas game sidelines were reckless acts.
He knows it, we know it....but ESPN, a network that encourages and glorifies bad behavior....while having its pundits say things that are later apologized for.....has decided to render Mayfield a bad apple.
ESPN is a network no longer about just presenting sports events. It's now about projecting political viewpoints as much as anything else.
