You guys agree that showing "Horns Down" should should earn a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty?

Hell to the no! OU players have been throwing horns down for decades and have not been penalized. Why is it now a penalty when a WVU player throws them down? I noticed that after Will Grier score the winning two-point conversion, he was mobbed in the end zone by his teammates and several of them threw the horns down, but they were not penalized.

Refs need to grow a sack and and be more consistent in what is and isn't unsportsmanlike conduct. Had he flipped off the crowd, then that is a penalty. Throwing horns down should not be a penalty, no matter how badly it offends the horn fan's sensibilities.

Ha........not hardly. Remember when Macky Brown was also complaining about this? Just another reason people laugh at and hate Texas.

Horn fans feel/believe that the Horns Up is sacred. I remember about 10 yreas ago I was wearing my OU hat while sitting in a sports bar in Austin. A guy across the room was giving me shit. He motioned to my hat & then gave me a thumbs down sign. I immediately threw the horns down at him. He approached me and told me I should not be doing that in Austin and suggested that I leave as this place was for Austinites etc. Needless to say I didn't leave. But about an hour or so later I did tip a waitress $50 to 'accidently' spill a beer on the son of bitch.

lol what a loser. Texans have always had an unjustified sense of superiority. I guess they don't realize people laugh at them

We are a prideful people. Yes, I'm a Texan... but I've always, always have rooted & cheered for OU. Since age 8 to be exact. But even in Texas, Horn fans are laughed at.

Putting up 1 finger as in “we’re #1”, implies the opponent is #2 or worse...isn’t that taunting?
TTU fans throwing tortillas all over the field seems Unsportsmanlike to me.

All of these rules suck because they are completely arbitrary.

I hate watching a TD scored by anyone and see the official staring intently in the background, just waiting for the moment that the players celebrate “too much” so they can throw the flag. Nauseating.
