3 INTs & 1 Fumble... cost us the game

We can fuss & complain about playcalling, tackling, you name it... but if the turnovers didn't happen, OU wins the game. As a result, the mention of games canceled, Riley's age or his hire would never be mentioned. It's frustrating and of course we all do need to vent occasionally. But this game was OU's to win, but they pressed, then choked when things got tough.

Growing pains suck. They suck harder when you have to say it every year.

Our defense lack of getting turnovers giving all the focus on that aspect is ridiculous.

I like your point, but the defense played a big part in the loss, too. We only loss by 3 points. If we could have held K-State to one less TD or scored one more TD, we win. This was a total team failure as most losses are.

Players didn't have a great day and I saw what I thought was some give up...but to me this loss is squarely on the coaching staff starting with LR.

Good point. For my money, “team” includes the coaching staff lead by the Head Coach. I just don’t like the thought that players aren’t held accountable when the wheels begin to wobble. Time for everyone to man up and that includes Lincoln Riley.

3-4 more losses may be looming. but so is a bowl bid to the Yeast Infection Charity Bowl for those truly worthy 6-win teams.

Let's not forget the blocked punt. He never looked to his right.

In the history of the game there are only a handful of wins from teams that have to overcome 4 turnovers. Fact. Spot me (4) turnovers on a game and I'll take that bet it all day long.

We do not tackle the player . We just try to block them down.

On this attempt to tackle Deuce, defender started by “hitting” Deuce (no arm wrap) and then spinning his body 180 degrees. The pic is the moment where defenders back is on Deuce. Deuce ran for another 30 yards after this.

I know you are just kidding because OU will only lose one more, if that. We just always have to get kicked in the balls to start playing decent football. Not great football but enough to win regular season.

Depends on which team shows up each week: yesterday’s 1st half team (we could run out the table), or the 2nd half team (we could lose several more). Lots a mistakes to clean up, but a 2-3 loss season seems reasonable. Coaches need to step up this week, before the seasons wheels fall off.

I’m just going by history, bro. You may be right. Let’s see what happens. Boomer.

I’m right there with you, but I can say my confidence in the offense hasn’t been this low since at least 2014 (pre-Baker). Fingers crossed they right the ship. Coach B needs to work his magic on this OL group.

I was hesitant when we got a 3-4 D coordinator but I felt better when I heard Grinch's D was predicated on aggressive play calling and forcing turnovers. Where is it at? I've never liked 3-4 as a base and we cannot land the line talent to run it. We need to go back to a legit 4 man front and run a base 4-3/nickel.

We run a 4 man front. They just play their weak side DE in a stand-up position.
Very few schools run 4 guys with their hand on the ground anymore.

But there definitely is a lack of talent up front. Doesn’t help missing their best 3 from last years team (Gallimore, Redmond, Perkins).
