OK guys, just spoke to a source on the report that Velus Jones has decided to postpone today's planned commitment.
I know my immediate thought was that Alabama or Auburn, or one of their advocates within state lines, had asked him to wait and see if a spot might open up.
It sounds like that's not the case. In fact it sounds like it's USC trying to truly get back in the race with Tee Martin suddenly pushing hard for Jones to take an official visit and apparently he has at least one family member (not a parent) that feels that he should take that trip.
I've not heard anything that makes me think he has changed his mind about his eventual location (that wink wasn't just about a decision today...if I must, I'll explain NSD night) but obviously this makes one wonder if things change.
I do think it helps Oklahoma that USC is so much farther from home rather than trying to battle a program with a chance to sell his family on 'being closer to home'.
