UPDATE: 8:52p - Oklahoma has made their second 2018 tight end offer of the day, offering Las Vegas Bishop Gorman tight end Brevin Jordan. He is the second current Gael to pick up an offer, following 2017 defensive tackle Haskell Garrett.
If Oklahoma could land either it would be the first Gorman Gael they've signed since Justin Chaisson in the class of 2009.
UPDATE: 8:06p - Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops and offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley paid a visit to Southlake (Texas) Carroll Mississippi State wide receiver commitment Zach Farrar.
Also Farrar now tells me he'll be officially visiting Oklahoma this weekend.
UPDATE 4:30 - I am told that OU has now offered Tulsa McLain running back Joshua Jacobs. Offer was made by Lincoln Riley.
Also am told that Alabama is expected to come by tomorrow.
UPDATE: 2:39p - A guy that Oklahoma seems to still be waiting to know on is Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll Rivals250 offensive tackle Jauan Williams. The 6-foot-6, 314-pound Under Armour All-American will be deciding between Georgia and Oklahoma for a visit this weekend.
I know it's been reported that the visit has been set but to my information it is still not solid.
UPDATE: 12:42p - Oklahoma has, apparently, offered Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point 2018 tight end Mustapha Muhammad. One of the better prospects in all of Houston for the class, big-time potential.
UPDATE: 12:36p - It just occurred to me that I'd not actually reported something we'd heard yesterday, Silsbee, Texas Rivals100 offensive guard Patrick Hudson will not be in Norman this week, canceling his planned midweek visit.
UPDATE: 7:48a - A guy that we mentioned on Sunday but haven't talked much about since is Frisco (Texas) Heritage three-star receiver Bubba Ogbebor who has been one of the Sooners long-time possibilities at wide receiver.
It seems that he is going to get the answer he has been looking for tomorrow night when Cale Gundy and Lincoln Riley make their way by to see him for an in-home visit.
At that point we'll know more where things stand as the Sooners will have been by to see Farrar, Jacobs, and Ogbebor. And also a few names like Denzel Mims could emerge as visitors.

***Yesterday news broke that Oklahoma was bringing in Edmond (Okla.) Memorial kicker Braxton Pickard when he tweeted out his enthusiasm about this trip.
Joe talked to Pickard himself and I spoke to Memorial head coach Justin Merideth and it sounds like, for now, he is seeking a recruited walk-on spot. Talking to a few sources I think for, at least, the first year he'll be a RWO but again if he performs well that could change.
And his current head coach seems to think that performance is definitely possible as both a punter and a kicker.
"He was great at both for us. He was consistently in the end zone with his kickoffs and had a 40-yards plus average on punts," Merideth said before acknowledging that Pickard missed the Bulldogs final four games.
***So last night the news also came out that long-time Oklahoma commitment, and Rivals250 cornerback, Parrish Cobb would be announcing his choice between the Sooners and Baylor on National Signing Day.
And though the wording came off as odd to some of you, it basically equates to a commitment looking around.
All that being said, I just don't really buy the concern on him as Cobb has already chosen Oklahoma over Baylor once before and something I've heard at various times in his recruitment is that his family might like him to get out of Waco. That may well mean to get away from certain influences, etc. But either way I think his family will support the choice of getting out of Waco and that's something that can be an uphill battle.
I'm told there is some consternation around Norman for this thing but generally the feeling, at this point, is that Cobb is a battle they can, and will, win.
***There were some rumors going around on Tuesday that Oklahoma might be moving on from Duncanville, Texas defensive lineman Marcel Southall. The 6-foot-3, 270-pound standout has long been thought to be a Sooners lean but there has been growing talk about concerns over his test scores.
I spoke to two sources who had two different stories but it sounds like Oklahoma may sign him but has real concerns about where he falls academically.
I don't think a final decision has been made but keep an eye on the situation.
***One of the new targets for Oklahoma will be getting an in-home visit from the Sooners head man, Bob Stoops, tonight. That player is Southlake (Texas) Carroll wide receiver offer Zach Farrar.
Scoop has talked to a few people, including Farrar, and it sounds more and more like Oklahoma will likely get an official visit this weekend - a weekend that, interestingly enough, he'll be joined in Norman by his friend, Carroll teammate, and current Oklahoma commitment Robert Barnes. The 2017 Rivals250 safety will be in Norman for the Sooners junior day event and has, not surprisingly, been in the ear of Farrar since Sunday when his commitment was made.
If Farrar makes the trip to Norman, I expect the Sooners will be able to get him to flip though he'll have to cover the bases of his interest in also playing baseball in college.
***Finally there was some consternation yesterday over the situation with Tulsa McLain running back Joshua Jacobs and his talk about not being sure of taking an official visit to Norman this weekend. I still think that's exactly what will transpire but Jacobs has known several staffs longer, including Missouri and Purdue who will be by today, and is waiting to see if a few schools who have been there longer will come through with offers.
It's a situation where the kid knows if he takes that trip to Norman and isn't offered he may be left with no options. Wherever he goes, having an offer is the most clear issue. I think Oklahoma made it clear that he'll have an offer once he arrives in Norman this weekend.
