Well, boys, we're down the stretch of coach speak because Mike Stoops wasn't saying a dang thing this evening.
Start with Tre Norwood.
Tre Norwood
- More than anything, loves the energy of the DB room. From all the guys returning to Broiles to Bookie, just a good vibe.
- CB competition was legit with him, Tre Brown, Parnell Motley. Brought out the best in each and continues to bring out the best in each other.
- Loved that Riley called him Mr. Consistency. Said he prides himself on that consistent factor, on and off the field.
- Turnovers are once again a focus, see how that goes.
- We've had sharks. We've had wolves. Now? #JackBoyz. Take it away, Tre:

Mike Stoops
- No insight on depth chart.
- Some people wouldn't give it a break and pressed forward asking about safeties. Said he'll play the guys that give 'em best opportunity to win.
- I'll re-visit, but seriously, Mike wasn't giving anything away and said he's excited about where the defense is at four days away.
***
Tim Kish
- Doing a lil bit by committee, mentioning Curtis Bolton and Caleb Kelly will see time at WILL.
- Kenneth Murray's field vision has improved dramatically. Said he's playing with a lot more confidence because of it.
- Loves that Kenneth wants to take responsibility for the defense, but No. 1 priority is to understand MIKE and how to work with WILL.
- Doesn't believe DaShaun White is a good example of the redshirt rule b/c White should see more time than just four game was what was implied.
- Bolton was on fire before that injury. Loves his experience and mental toughness.
- DaShaun White?
"I’ll say this about DaShaun White. He’s ready to play. How much he plays is really gonna depend on how things go early on in the season, but he really has great instincts. He played the position for four years, which is a big bonus. I haven’t had a lot of guys at the linebacker position that have just been linebackers. He’s got great balance. He’s got really good vision for a freshman. He understands the game. Is here there yet? No. But he can be a factor and hopefully sooner than later." - Kish
