We weren't gonna press Tre Brown if he didn't wanna talk about his mother's passing, but he was open to it and shared his insight.

How are you doing the last couple weeks?

I'm doing really good, talk to God and stuff like that. That really helps me knowing that my mom is watching me. Just keeping my faith really high. I have a lot of support behind me. That actually really keeps me going. I'm just trying to stay positive and live my life.

Felt like you needed to play right after she died?

I felt like, yea. My team also helped me through that and stuff like that. I feel like my mom wouldn't have wanted me to sit out. No matter how she's feeling, she wouldn't have wanted me to miss a game to be there. She wanted me to do what I had to do. I knew I had to step out on that field and play for her and play for my teammates.

How big of a help was it to have your teammates around you?

That really helped. That showed me that they're really — not just a team but they're my brothers. They're people I can count on and stuff like that when things are going bad. I really didn't even have any bad times. I had times where I was down a little bit but just being around those guys, they're so funny and stuff like that, just lifting me up and stuff. That really kept me going and motivated. I was really busy.
