Damn. 3 kids from Bishop Gorman? We talk about #s from states, and Ohio State is talking about #s from high schools.

Severe leg injury. Urban likely cut him loose.
Was not severe by any means - meniscus tear. I had a pretty good one 5 years ago and was out walking the course/golfing 8 weeks later. And I'm ancient.

Word from OSU insiders is that this took the the staff completely by surprise. In fact, he was tweeting pro-OSU stuff earlier in the day - it seemed like a spur of the moment decision (overnight). Word around Columbus is that WR coach Zach Smith would be flying out to talk to him but it might be beyond that now.

Another speculation is that he felt betrayed by Gorman teammate Tate Martell who was promoting a WR he played with at the Army All-Star game positively to the OSU coaching staff. Keep in mind, Lindsey lived with the Martell family while playing for Gorman. There are many more theories but the bottom line is that the kid has to do what's best for him for the next 3 to 4 years of his life. In cases like this one, the real story probably will never come out but hey, both sides need to move on. BUT, from all of the info from people in the know, this was definitely not a case of OSU cutting him loose.
