Greetings Sooner Nation OUr 2018 Season is now in the rear view, so the anticipation, restlessness, and expectations of the 2019 season will come upon us. 2018 to me was not a total disappointment by any stretch of the mind what so ever, yes a Orange Bowl win against Alabama and possibly an 8th National Title was the hopes, dreams, and for some Expectation to end the 2018 season. On the brighter side OU had their share of accomplishments to Add to the NCAA Record books and the Trophy Case on Campus. As OU fans we have surely become quite spoiled with the 4peat Big 12 titles, by far one of the Most Prolific Offensive attacks this Country has ever witnessed for consecutive years, and more likely than not, and counting, then not to mention Back to Back Heisman Trophy Winners! Sooner Nation We have Very much to be thankful for, name another program in the Country that has accomplished as much to make a comparison? With Coach Lincoln Riley in the drivers seat, We should Not have a doubt in the World that his expectations are right there with the Rest of us, and rest assured I believe Coach Riley has a pretty Good road Map of how to get Oklahoma where it needs to be.Trust the Process, pieces will come together, holes will be filled and development will succeed. As for the Orange Bowl Like Everyone in Crimson and Cream, the first Quarter and a half had me concerned to a point I would not have thought possible this season or EVER. But from being down 28-0 and the Fight to get back in the Game in my mind is an instant classic. I know we did not emerge from the field victorious, but if you take a minute to reflect on the narrative and all the hype on this supposed Unbeatable Crimson Tide Team, I believe i can recall several talking heads on the sports networks stating that Oklahoma was NOT worthy to be playing on the same field as the mighty SEC Champions! Well once again for the 3rd year in a row, Yes THIRD YEAR in a row Put up more Offensive Yards Rushing, Passing, and scored more points than ANY of their Prior foes have put up ALL season, until they faced Oklahoma (Auburn 2016 Sugar Bowl, Georgia 2017 Rose Bowl, Alabama 2018) So anybody and everybody hollering about the SUPERIOR SEC DEFENSE needs to stop talking gibberish, that is so FAKE NEWS! I will not permit myself to talk Texas Football EVER unless it is 1. Necessary or 2. Need to use them as an example for a point I am trying to prove, and the same ideology is included for Oklahoma State, who by the way both faced SEC opponents in their Bowl Games, and the Results speak for themselves. I might start another thread on those outcomes in the near future to solidify my un-biasd essesment on whats obvious and what is overstated and down right NOT TRUE. I would like to close my Very first thread by introducing myself to Sooner Nation. My name is Robert but in the cyber world I am known as thaGamest , I am a So.California Native Born and raised and a Loyal Sooner Fan since 1985 in 2013 I came to my senses and moved here to Oklahoma. I really enjoy writing and talking Sooner Football so that's what brings me here! Im looking forward to Talking Sooner Football or College Football in General with Members of this board!! GOD BLESS AND BOOMER SOONER

Neither was I disappointed in the season as a whole. After seeing how the D played (or didnt) the first few games I was figuring losing more than 1 during regular season. Onward and upward!

I don’t want to hear it. At the end of the day. Riley has played twice in two of our biggest games not to lose and lost. You don’t defer against Bama. You don’t squib against GA. You don’t play a 3 man front and drop 8 against Fromm. You don’t take the ball out of Baker’s hand in the second half against GA. You take the ball wirh Kyler and score first and shove it down Bama’s throat early. You don’t let Bama get ahead in that game. Riley needs to trust others. Period. Instead of being controlling and micro managing. He needs to pull his balls out and play to win not to lose. Texas did that against GA. We should have beat Bama. We are the better team. We lost because of coaching and no more hall passes for Lincoln.

You make your case factually and I am not gonna come out and say You're wrong, that is your opinion and you have a right to it.. and I agree with you on several talking points you have brought to light.. the squib kick and being WAY TOO CONSERVATIVE in the 2nd half of the Rose Bowl. The Orange Bowl really could have been a very ugly and embarrassing chapter in OU Football History! We need to give the staff a chance to build the Program where it needs to be. Just look at the numbers since Coach Riley has been on staff.. Recruiting has been on a whole different level in the past 3 years, the pieces are coming together.. Not near as fast as we wish but we are VERY close! I have total faith and confidence in Lincoln Riley, He has the Best interest of OKLAHOMA FOOTBALL first and foremost! Believe it or not, there's not an abundance of totally dedicated coaches out there today! Look at the annual openings and vacancy's that appear by the dozen.. The DC should have been changed AFTER THE ROSE BOWL but Obviously someone else was given the benefit of the doubt, Doubt finally showed to be fact and the rest is history... So All I am saying is we need to TRUST THE PROCESS, Lincoln is young and he himself has some growing pains to endure, those trials end errors over time will produce Wisdom and Prosperity... WE WILL GET THERE MY FRIEND!!

When Jack In The Box flopped my blood pressure soared. Then there was relative peace K-State and TCU games. Then up shot my blood pressure again. Then came the Bama blood pressure spike. Grinch better help lower my game day blood pressure. Jack In Box and McMuffin did not do it for me in 2018.

No. We. Aren't.

We are not the better team. Not yet anyway. If we would have won that game, it would have been a miracle.

What a great season we had but I don’t recall a season in recent memory that gave me as many close calls or uneasy feelings until the clock hit zero dang near every game.
I hear you. I normally can get quite animated while watching games, but this year beat them all. A few times, the wife, kids and dogs ran for cover.
Everybody Literally leaves the house when the Sooner Game is on.. Being Animated is an understatement!! Bedlam, Tech, and all the other Blood Pressure Skyrocket Games are for the birds Man! My arteries can’t do another 2018
