and will no longer be named after Confederate generals (Stand Watie, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson).
There is no limit to revisionist historical “sanitation”.

KIND OF SAD, I WAS A STAND WATIE OWL MANY YEARS AGOand will no longer be named after Confederate generals (Stand Watie, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson).

All the 'Founding Fathers' took up arms against their existing gubment (Britain) at the time of the Revolution so they ALL must be expunged...
Removing Confederate statues and monuments, or renaming buildings with Confederate generals will not change the past. But it will result in a poorer, less enlightened future.
It did in your case.I'm not in favor of "changing the past." We just don't need statues glorifying these treasonous people. Not having statues or schools named after Robert E. Lee or other confederate traitors will not make us "less enlightened."
That's the problem with History and revisionist History; where does it start/stop ? All facts should be taught. Maybe name the schools OKC 1-whatever and lose the heritage thereby dumbing down society further ?
I just finished a new 500 page tome that says yes to that and much more. Japan, Germany were both idiotic to do what they did and Mussolini was tagging along. British appeasement and American isolationism plaid a big part.
So let's remember our history and learn from it.....not deny it.Our sordid history is what it is.
As well you should unless said plaid was on a scrumptious female...
No. But I’m sure Hollywood kissed some Kennedy butt.Speaking of which, did anyone bother going to see Chappaquiddick ?
