1) Where was the SEC defense, maybe Oklahoma was not that far off on defense.
2) Alabama's offense line struggled to block Clemson's Dline just as much as we did. Hoping next year our interior Oline will be better.
3) Brent V's defense - looked very familiar with blown coverage's and receivers running wide open down the field. May have cost Clemson a NC.
4) Tight End - Alabama confused Clemson with the tight end in the formation confusing the safeties. Would have liked to see our tight end used more but I have to trust the coaches because Andrews can't block a blind man at this point in his development.
5) Special Teams - Our special teams this year were not special. We had no punt returner just someone with reliable hands catching punts. Kick off coverage was good but kick return was not good. Hopefully we can improve next year.
I don't think Oklahoma was a better team but this game gave me a sense that we are not that far off. Baker with more time and hopefully a more developed receiver core will be great next year. Defensively we should have more beef and depth on the Dline with our redshirt players. Looking forward to seeing our larger LB's next year. Our LB's this year were not All American caliber, striker was great at rushing the passer but teams started to account for him more and more in long yardage situations and I rarely heard his name in the Clemson game. We are in a better position moving forward than the last 5 years.
