Diaco is not allowed to coach them so he cannot teach them simple things like tackling. However, he can give input to the defensive coaches on things like game planning and alignment. The players were in position to make plays this week (credit Diaco for his input on game planning), they just couldn’t execute the fundamentals (credit Stoops for coaching the players in the fundamentals).
